How we verify and refresh listings

Every published listing has cleared a strict two-source check and carries the date it was last checked. This page explains exactly how, so you can judge the facts yourself.

Two-source verification

A fact is published only when at least two independent sources agree on it, for example a manufacturer's own website and an independent registry or GMP program (NSF, NPA, FDA establishment registration). A claim that appears on only one source is kept in staging and is not published as verified. Rival directories and listicles are used only as leads to investigate, never as a corroborating source.

Factual, dated signals only

We publish dated, sourced observations: identity confirmed across N independent sources, factual registry / GMP listing status, and the last-checked date. We never publish a conclusory verdict about a company's legitimacy or safety, positive or negative. A GMP-program listing is a dated factual signal, not our endorsement. The judgment is yours to make from the sourced facts.

Provenance on every listing

Each listing shows its sources, so any published fact can be traced to the URLs it came from and the date each was checked. If we cannot source a fact, we do not stake it.

Freshness

Listings are re-checked on a weekly cadence. Each listing and the directory as a whole show a last-checked date. A listing whose sources go stale or dead is flagged and, if it cannot be re-confirmed, removed.

Corrections, claims, and removal

Manufacturers can claim, correct, or request removal of a listing at any time by contacting bananaworkshop189@gmail.com. Corrections and takedowns are actioned promptly (target: 72 hours), and a removed listing stays on a permanent suppression list honored on every future update.
